Organization

Two organization projects recently completed: kitchen cupboard containers and backyard brick patio (we built it from scratch all by ourselves!). I love organizing! (That's Kulshan sitting on the table, his adopted throne.)

California To-Do List

For those of you who aren't in the "know," I'll be leaving California around mid-June and moving to the beautifully green, mosquito-free, perpetually cool, northwestern state of Washington! That leaves around 2.5 months in California to wrap [edited from the sleepy mistake "rap" thanks to Aaron!] things up. Thinking about things I'd like to see here before leaving, I of course found myself making lists (things are just so much more fun when they are organized).

Things I Have Seen in CA

1. Santa Cruz
2. Los Gatos
3. Carmel
4. Monterey
5. Stanford campus
6. Lake Tahoe
7. Big Sur
8. Yosemite
9. Oakland
10. The Golden Gate
11. Fisherman's Wharf
12. L.A.
13. San Diego

Things I NEED to See in CA

1. Big Basin
2. Death Valley
3. Alcatraz
4. Golden Gate Park
5. Point Reyes
6. Lassen Volcanic National Park
7. King's Canyon
8. Berkeley
9. Catalina Island
10. Moffet Field
11. Legion of Honor in SF

That's a lot to accomplish in 2.5 months, but I'm going to try! If you have anything to add to the need-to-see list, please send your additions my way!

Yes, it's been too long since I've given you all an update! But I have a bunch of good excuses (besides the usual the dog ate my computer, my alarm clock didn't wake me up for weeks on end, some family crisis required that I not type for a certain period of time):

1. My boyfriend gave me a new laptop for my birthday and I've been busy playing with it!
2. The aforementioned BF asked me to move in with him on my birthday and I've been busy moving in!
3. I've been sick since Feb. 24, which has meant I haven't been able to spend nearly as much time as I wanted playing with my laptop OR emptying my old apartment, so I certainly haven't had time to update this silly thing (of course, you guys aren't silly, don't worry!).

So that's pretty much the news. I've living at a new address, enjoying the extra time with the boyfriend and pooches. I'm finally feeling well again, and heading back to the gym this week. I'm filling out my application for the Washington state bar, which I will start studying for in May, then take in July.

Oh! And I got the results back from my latest federal government job testing experience (U.S. Customs and Border Patrol Officer examination). A 70% is required to pass, and I got a 97%! Too bad the test wasn't the bar exam. Or the SAT. Anyway, if they have an opening they'll contact me for an interview, if not, no harm done.

Off to give the dogs cookies and make hot chocolate.
