Recent Developments

So a lot has happened recently involving shopping and my pocketbook!

Event #1: to prepare for wedding, purchased dress (I put it on this morning just for the photo--this is NOT me wedding ready!) and shoes (the cutest shoes ever!).

Event #2: before finding the above dress, visited two fancy Silicon Valley Goodwills looking for a dress, and instead bought chairs and more chairs (the brown leather chair sells on eBay for hundreds, and we bought it for $40!).





















Event #3: to take adventure of strawberry season, made homemade strawberry pineapple jam!

Sunol Wilderness

One of the few off-leash hiking areas nearby is the Sunol Wilderness, just East of Fremont. This weekend, we made it there! It was absolutely gorgeous... although we had a few tense moments after a pack of cows spotted the pooches and suddenly looked hungry (I know cows usually aren't carnivorous, but these looked very tired of grass).

Weekend in SF

I marked one thing off our California to-do list: Golden Gate Park!

The park is beautiful and HUGE. We spent several hours wandering through just 1/3 of the place. Highlights included: the Japanese tea garden, the "Bowling Green," the bison reserve, and the beach nearby.
