Islands From the Sky. Looking out over the San Juans on the flight back to Bellingham.

Ships. A collection of marine artwork in our entryway appropriate for our island life!

Chipping! We finally rented a chipper for the seven piles of brush we cut over the last six months. It was fun to see such huge mountains reduced in minutes to little hills of chips.

Fog in the Trees. My new favorite photo--morning fog filtering through the trees on the hill behind our house.

Donut Fender. The humorously named device against which the ferry bumps when docking if it veers a little too far north or south.

Hidden Point. More fog obscures the point south of our house.

My Christmas Present! My favorite gift this year, from my boyfriend.

Wild Sky. Sunset on the way to Vancouver for the best birthday party ever.

Fingers. More rainfall has increased our creek's volume so much that the beach is saturated with water, and the excess is flowing in streams from the creek into the bay, carving out paths in the beach.

Solid Sky. Clouds battle to fill the sky.

Lummi Mountain. Our house is just to the right!

Seattle From the Sky. The view on the flight from Washington to California--you can just barely see the space needle in the top right part of the photo!

Bay Lights. Beginning the descent into San Jose.

Cuteness Award. My best friend's incredibly adorable son watching a coin-operated carousel with awe.

On Edge. A seagull from below.

Decoration. Colorful buoys cover a shed by the bay.

Looking Into the Sun. The setting sun was so bright, I had to take this photo with my eyes closed!

Inn at Legoe Bay. "No vacancies"--someone has a sense of humor.

Driftwood. A jumble of oddly shaped wood in front of an old structure on Church Beach.

Drama Ahead. Uncertain weather looms as Islanders wait for the ferry.

Cotton Candy Clouds. A dainty pink sunset below whispy clouds.

Watching. The first eagle I've been able to capture on film!

Everyone's An Artist. The island gift shop.

Mountaintop. The Mount Baker Ski Area, looking up at Mount Shuksan.

Winter Sky. Walking around the ski area, every view was worthy of a photograph!

One Way. An easily enforced traffic sign.

Colorful Recycling. Old skis create an ingenious fence around a ski shop parking lot.

Night Needle. Strolling through Seattle before dropping my brother at the Sea-Tac Airport for his flight home.
